Kansas City International Airport (MCI) has undergone a massive transformation with its brand-new, single terminal. Located 15 miles northwest of Downtown Kansas City, it is the primary gateway to the jazz, BBQ, and sports culture of the region. Whether you're here for the Power & Light District or a Chiefs game at Arrowhead, a taxi from the new MCI is a smooth experience.
Taxi stands are located on the Arrival level of the new terminal, just outside the baggage claim doors. The new layout has greatly simplified the pickup process. Licensed taxi companies in Kansas City are metered. A taxi is especially useful for those heading to the sprawling suburban business centers of Overland Park or Olathe.
